A Journey Imbued with Spirituality and Solidarity

On May 2–3 of this year, the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Agribusiness Complex Workers of Uzbekistan organized a cultural and educational trip to the Turkestan region, one of the historical and pilgrimage sites of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The participation of 50 trade union members working in 13 ministries and agencies, along with their subordinate organizations—all social partners of the Republican Council—served to strengthen the ties of mutual solidarity and cooperation.

Specifically, the gathering of representatives from the agricultural sector not only fostered a friendly atmosphere among the participants during the trip but also enhanced unity and cohesion, providing an invaluable opportunity for the exchange of professional experience.

During the journey, the participants first visited the Arslonbobo shrine and experienced its sacred atmosphere. Arslonbobo is a highly revered saint in Islamic spirituality; his life and legacy inspire the younger generation toward goodness, purity, and faith. According to tradition, he was the spiritual mentor of Hazrat Ahmad Yasawi.

Furthermore, the trip included a pilgrimage to the mausoleum of Hazrat Ahmad Yasawi, a great thinker and a master of Sufism, located in the city of Turkestan. This holy site has served as a cradle of spirituality for Turkic peoples for centuries. Ahmad Yasawi’s teachings advocate for enlightenment, patience, integrity, and honesty—a spiritual legacy that remains profoundly relevant today.

To promote a healthy lifestyle and ensure the productive use of leisure time, archery competitions, festive dinners, and cultural events were organized. These activities, conducted in a spirited and sincere environment, provided participants with a joyful and uplifting experience.

This journey left a lasting impression on the participants, enriching their spiritual horizons and deepening their respect for national and religious values. The organized activities provided physical invigoration and high spirits, while also laying a solid foundation for future effective collaboration.
